I don't how to reach you other than posting a comment.
First, great poem. Really really great.
Second. I got roasted today by Eddie Bluelights (who is carrying on David McMahon's tradition). In answering what is the most significant post I've read, yours was one of 3 blogs I mentioned. Truly, Annie (is it?), you set the bar for me.
So, if you'd like to see the interview (and your name "in lights"), please have a look here: http://eddybluelights.blogspot.com/2009/10/sunday-roast-ready-kathlene-kimball.html
I know...it really is a lovely poem, isn't it?? And true in a way I'd not put into words myself, yet have felt.
Kathleen, CONGRATS!!!! on your Sunday Roast interview. Nothing better than reading good news about friends. I'm truly honored that you would include me as one of your most "significant posts" and thank you very much. It means a lot to me. I'll be stopping in at Eddie Bluelights in more days to come--he looks like a hoot:>)
Now I must find out more about the poet! This is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWOW! that really is perfect isn't it? smiles.

I lost two relatives in the last month, vestiges of my childhood, memories of my parents long gone.
ReplyDeleteI consider the burden of outliving the people I love best and those that love me best and I just sigh.
